Meet the Herd

    Spirit

    Gelding, Quarter Horse x Mustang, 15.2/15.3 hh, foaled in 2008

    Spirit has been working with us since 2023 when he was kindly donated by a rescue. He has arthritis in his right front leg which can cause him to limp, but doesn't hinder his spirit. He partners in all of our unmounted programs.

    Lacey

    Mare, Haflinger, 15.2/15.3 hh, foaled in 2004

    Lacey has a triangle star on her forehead

    Lacey is a beautiful girl who loves to show off all of her tricks at every turn. She requires an experienced handler when working with her buddy Zog in our unmounted programs. Her specialty is grief counseling.

    Zog

    Mare, Haflinger, 15.2/15.3 hh, foaled in 2006

    Zog has a white blaze down her face

    Zog has been working in therapy work since 2021. She is laid back with the occasional stubborn streak which makes her perfect for some of our sessions. She partners in all of our mounted and unmounted programs with her buddy Lacey.

    Polaris (Po)

    Gelding, Westphalian Warmblood, 17.3 hh, foaled in 2009

    Po is a retired showjumper who has been working with us since 2024. Po partners in our unmounted programs and specializes in our counseling sessions.

    Oliver (Ollie)

    Gelding, Quarter Horse, 16.0 hh, foaled in 1998

    Ollie is a big and reliable boy who partners in our unmounted programs. He and Zog are inseparable in the pasture with Lacey never far behind.

    Tilly

    Mare, Welsh Cob x Thoroughbred, 15.0 hh, foaled in 2018 

    Tilly is the youngest of our herd. She is a steady laid back girl who loves jumping at liberty. She is currently being restarted under saddle and in the meantime partners in all of our unmounted programs.

    Mr. Kitty

    Barn Cat

    Mr. Kitty is our resident security guard—equal parts mouser, ninja, sunbeam napper, and four-legged farm manager, Mr. Kitty patrols his personal kingdom of hay bales and barn stalls with stealthy dedication.
